- Where did the people of the United Kingdom come from?

We can say that the Queen is the symbol of Great Britain .One of our students has prepared presentation about the Queen. Look and listen to it and be ready to work on topic. You have lists with short texts. Use this information. Now look at the dates (years) and speak about important events in the Queen Elizabeth’s life.
Teacher: Now look at the diagram and complete it, speaking about the role of the Queen.
Teacher: The Kingdom we are speaking about is the country of ancient buildings, palaces and castles.

Teacher: Early English monarchs had few opportunities to celebrate jubilees. Life was so hard and few of them attained the age of 50. In modern times, royal jubilees are celebrated everywhere in the world. The Queen Elizabeth ll has celebrated three jubilees.
What are they? When were they? Read a short text about one of them.
Teacher: We don’t touch the serious questions about political system of Great Britain, but isn’t it important to get know more about the famous person. The Queen Elizabeth ll is a strong personality. I want to finish our lesson with wise words of R.L. Stivenson. “The world is so full of number of things. I’m sure we should all to be as happy as kings”… and queens….we may add. Maybe people no longer believe in great and wise kings and queens. They understand that the royal family are also people with their problems and worries. Many people think that the Royals are useless and monarchy is outdated. But… the British people seem to like them that way. They like to read about the royal family, royal scandals and shocking secrets. They like to watch royal ceremonies, they are proud of the tradition of monarchy. England has had kings and queens for a thousand years – probably they`ll have them for another thousand.
Your homework will be: to write a letter to the queen. You may express your admiration of Her Majesty, ask some questions.
